Kairo — Built for heavy work.Opened in a browser tab.

Kairo is a cloud operating system for the work your laptop can't handle. Large builds, 3D rendering and simulation run on cloud machines and GPUs, while you work from a full desktop in any modern browser.

The Kairo desktop running in a browser, with a dock, desktop icons and widgets
01

Nothing to install

Runs in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on computers and phones.

02

Light on your laptop

Cloud apps run on remote machines and appear in a window.

03

Your setup is kept

Cloud apps keep their files and settings between sessions.

04

Bring your own machine

Link a computer you own and run cloud apps on it.

01The difference

Four things that set Kairo apart.

USP01

A whole computer, not one streamed app.

Kairo is a full desktop with windows, files, a terminal and an app store. Everything lives in one place and opens side by side.

USP02

Your own hardware counts.

Link a computer you already own and run cloud apps on it without using credits. Kairo's cloud is there when you need more.

USP03

An assistant you can watch work.

Kairo Assistant clicks and types on the desktop with a visible pointer. You can stop it at any moment, and it leaves risky buttons to you.

USP04

Pay only for the apps you need.

Pricing is tailored per app, with plans covering the tools you use. Cloud apps run on credits and stop on their own when left idle.

02Built for heavy work

The heavy apps run in the cloud. You just open a window.

03Product

Everything you expect from a desktop, delivered through the browser.

Kairo looks and behaves like the computer you already know. The difference is where the work happens.

The Kairo launchpad showing the installed apps

01

A real desktop, not a dashboard

Windows you can move and resize, a dock, a launchpad, desktop folders and a command palette. Files, Notes, Calendar, a browser and Settings are built in, with light and dark themes and your own wallpaper.

The Kairo terminal running Node.js commands

02

Code without setting anything up

The built-in terminal gives you a real shell with Node.js and npm that starts in seconds. The code editor and the Files app share the same drive, so you can write, run and organise a project in one place.

Chromium running on a cloud machine inside a Kairo window

03

Full apps on cloud machines

Install VS Code or Chrome from the Kairo Store and they open in a window like any other app. They run on a cloud machine, keep your settings and sign-ins between sessions, and stop on their own when left idle.

Kairo Assistant moving its pointer across the Settings app

04

An assistant that can use the desktop

Ask Kairo Assistant to open an app, write a note or change a setting. It moves its own labelled pointer so you can follow every step, and Esc stops it at once. It leaves buttons that delete, pay or sign out to you, and never types into password fields.

A shared room in Kairo with another person's pointer visible

05

Work in the same room

Start a shared room and invite up to eight people with a link or a six-character code. You see each other's pointers, share a notepad, and can follow someone's window layout while they walk you through a task.

The My Computers panel in Kairo Settings

06

Use a computer you already own

Link a desktop, a home server or a cloud VM that has Docker, and run cloud apps there instead of on Kairo's machines. The agent connects outward to Kairo, so no ports are opened on your network, and stopping it cuts the connection.

05Under the hood

Your laptop shows the screen. The cloud does the heavy work.

Kairo's interface runs in your browser. Cloud apps run in containers on remote machines and are shown in a window, so an older laptop or a Chromebook can still run a full editor or browser.

The old way

Your laptop does everything.

  • Heavy apps compete for your laptop's CPU, memory and battery.
  • Installers, drivers and setup before you can start.
  • Your work is tied to the one machine it was set up on.

Kairo

The cloud does the heavy work.

  • Each cloud app runs in its own container on a cloud machine.
  • Nothing to install: open it from the Kairo Store.
  • Your apps keep their files and settings, ready from any device.

Security

One container per app

Each cloud app runs in its own container with its own storage and limits on CPU and memory.

Idle apps stop themselves

A cloud app with no open connection is stopped after an idle timeout, so it doesn't keep using credits.

Your computer stays yours

On a linked computer the agent runs only a short list of Docker commands and refuses anything that would reach outside a container.

Planned for an upcoming OS update

Don't see your app? You'll be able to choose it.

We're building a way for you to pick the apps you want on Kairo. The OS will work out what each app needs and show how many credits it will use before you start it.

07About Kairo

A computer in the browser for everyone.

We believe computing power should be accessible to anyone with a browser tab, not just those who can afford high-end workstations and dedicated GPUs.

“Geography, income, and laptop specs should never determine what a builder can create.”

A proud product of Kairo Technologies. Kairo is conceived and engineered by Kairo Technologies, a technology initiative committed to building next-generation computing infrastructure and accessible developer environments.
